Welcome to My Corner of the Web

This isn’t a business site or a blog with a big platform. It’s just a quiet space to reflect, to share a few stories, and to connect. Think of it like stopping by the front porch — no agenda, no pressure. Just real conversation, a bit of encouragement, and the hope of pointing to something greater than me.

Walking with Jesus. Loving others like He does.

That’s the heart behind this site and behind the dove emblem you'll see throughout. I want this to be a place where love, humility, and faith guide every interaction. A digital front porch where we slow down and focus on what really matters.

Following Christ, Not Labels

I’m a follower of Christ’s teachings. I try not to lean too hard on labels like "Evangelical" or even "Christian" because they often create division where there should be unity. My faith is personal, relational, and rooted in how I strive to meet people where they are. I believe in living the way Jesus lived, through His strength & the Holy Spirit: listening, forgiving, serving, and showing up. You’ll see that reflected here, not just in what I say but in what I hope this site quietly points toward. My home church is Echoes Church — a community focused on helping people echo the life of Jesus in their everyday lives. I also deeply resonate with the mission of Rock Point Church: pointing people to Jesus by loving them like Jesus.

Family First

I’m a husband to Deb, the love of my life. I am a son of the matriarch of our tribe, my 94-year-old mother. And I am blessed to be a dad, a grandfather, a brother, and a friend. These roles are where I’ve learned the most about love, grace, and faithfulness.

The deepest joy and peace I’ve ever known came from loving relationships that are reciprocated. My family is where love started for me and where it continues to grow. It’s also where I learn to forgive, to listen well, and to keep showing up — even when it’s hard.

The Values That Guide Me

There are five values I hold close. I don’t live them out perfectly, but they form the compass I come back to, time and again:

  • Integrity:

Be of strong character. Operate honestly and with a fundamentally sound work ethic.

  • Discipline:

Do what should be done when it should be done.

  • Stewardship:

I guard the resources entrusted to me with great tenacity, especially when representing others, including Him, who provides all I have.

  • Courage:

Face the future with strength and confidence.

  • Persistence:

Be relentless in pursuing every goal, even through difficulties.

These values aren't theoretical for me. I live them out every day in how I lead, how I work, and how I build relationships.

Let’s Connect

Maybe you're here because you're navigating something tough. Or perhaps you just want to talk with someone who's walked a bit further down the road of life. Whether it’s a personal crossroads or a business challenge, I’m open to hearing about it. No charge. No agenda. Just a chance to share, reflect, and walk together.

You can also leave a prayer request. I'll read it personally, and I promise to pray for you.

Would you like to leave a prayer request?

Everything submitted through the form will be securely stored and kept private. I use encrypted services and take privacy seriously.

Professional Side

If you’re curious about my professional work, feel free to check out ECFG — the financial firm I founded. You can also connect with me on LinkedIn or follow my very infrequent updates at @IAmJoeCookAllIn on X.

When you peruse the Finance Page, you will see I quoted a secular source for the definition of success—Warren Buffett.

I think you will be surprised that it has nothing to do with money. This site reflects that success.

It pursues the importance of purpose.

Please remember that nothing in your life is too overwhelming. Nothing is too far gone. When God is for us, who can be against us? Whether you’re here for a moment or a while, I’m grateful. I hope this space reminds you that you are seen, you are heard, you are loved, and above all, you are not alone.

Thanks for stopping by.
